Bio

I was born on the U.S. Air Force base in Knob Noster, MO, on 27 March 1991. My dad was honorably discharged in late 1997, and we settled in Iowa, where he came to work as an executive for Wells Fargo Bank. My mom stayed home until my sister and I were teens, at which time she had an awakening that reconnected her to Catholicism, and she became a spiritual director trained by the Jesuits at Creighton University.

After graduating from the University of Iowa in 2013 with degrees in English and Philosophy, I moved to New York, pursuing fame as a musician. When the money ran out (which I had earned as a film projectionist and bookseller), I gave up that dream and returned to Des Moines, where I met artist Toni Parker in late 2015. We had an astrological and religiously syncretic wedding during the 2017 total solar eclipse, and we are both committed to higher education.
